For children ages 12–15. With a host family, your child doesn’t just learn German in the classroom – they learn it over breakfast, at dinner, and while sharing stories about their day. This is the most effective form of language learning.
All our host families are personally selected and regularly visited.

What Parents Ask Us
Can we book a course as a family at the same time?
Yes – and that’s what makes Heidelberg special. Parents and child take a course at the same time, in the same building. Your child learns German while you join a German or English course. All family members receive a 10% family discount.

What is the difference between the day camp and the full package?
With the day camp, your child attends school in the morning and returns to you in the afternoon – ideal if you’re staying in Heidelberg yourselves. The full package also includes accommodation with a vetted host family, full board included.
From what age can my child participate?
From age 6 – Heidelberg is our only program that welcomes the youngest learners. Groups are divided by age: 6–8, 9–11, and 12–15. Please note: children who are 5 years old are unfortunately not able to join our program.
What language level does my child need?
Courses run from A1 to B2. Complete beginners start on fixed dates: June 29 and July 27, 2026. A free placement test is provided before the course begins.
How does my child get to Heidelberg?
The nearest airport is Frankfurt (FRA), approximately 1 hour by train. On request, we can arrange a transfer service directly from the airport to the host family or school.
What happens if we need to cancel?
Our cancellation policy is fair and transparent.
Cancellations made more than 3 weeks before the course start date are free of charge. After that, the following fees apply:
- Up to 1 week before course start: €145 for the course · €180 for accommodation
- Up to Friday 12:00 noon before course start: 1 week’s course fee · 2 weeks’ accommodation + €130 admin fee
- After that until course start: 2 weeks’ course fee · 2 weeks’ accommodation + €130 admin fee
