Good to know:
The leisure programme is fully included in the price, including admission fees and supervision. Activities on Saturday (departure day) will take place provided there is a minimum of 4 participants. In this case, children staying with host families will spend the day with their host families. The programme changes weekly and is tailored to the age and group.

For children aged 12–15. With a host family, your child will learn German not only in the classroom, but also at breakfast, at dinner and whilst chatting about their day. This way, German becomes part of everyday life even outside of lessons.
All our host families are personally selected and visited regularly.

What Parents Ask Us
Can we book a course as a family at the same time?
Yes – and that’s what makes Heidelberg special. Parents and child take a course at the same time, in the same building. Your child learns German while you join a German or English course. All family members receive a 10% family discount.

What is the difference between the day camp and the full package?
With the day camp, your child attends school in the morning and returns to you in the afternoon – ideal if you’re staying in Heidelberg yourselves. The full package also includes accommodation with a vetted host family, full board included.
From what age can my child participate?
Ages 6 and over – Heidelberg is our only programme that also welcomes the youngest children. Groups are divided by age: 6–8, 9–11 and 12–15 years. Please note! Unfortunately, 5-year-olds cannot take part in our programme.
What language level does my child need?
Courses range from A1 to B2. Complete beginners start on fixed dates: 28 June and 26 July 2027. A free placement test is available before the course begins.
How does my child get to Heidelberg?
The nearest airport is Frankfurt (FRA), from where it takes about 1 hour by train. On request, we can organise a transfer service directly from the airport to the host family and back. Cost: €165 each way.
What happens, if we need to cancel?
Our cancellation policy is fair and transparent.
Cancellations made more than 3 weeks before the course start date are free of charge. After that, the following fees apply:
- Up to 1 week before course start: €145 for the course · €180 for accommodation
- Up to Friday 12:00 noon before course start: 1 week’s course fee · 2 weeks’ accommodation + €130 admin fee
- After that until course start: 2 weeks’ course fee · 2 weeks’ accommodation + €130 admin fee
