I learned Spanish on three trips: to Salamanca, Málaga, and Palma de Mallorca. Each trip was different; each brought new experiences, new people, and new ideas. And each time, I came back a different person. Not because my language skills had improved, but because I had grown as a person.
That is exactly what I have wanted to help others experience ever since.

Ralf learned Spanish in the Dominican Republic—far from the classroom, right in the midst of real life. Surrounded by the Caribbean, local culture, and conversations with locals, he developed a passion for languages that continues to this day.
What we both learned: You don’t learn a language from a book. You learn it when you have no other choice.

Before we founded DEUTSCH.PRO, I gave private lessons in Málaga, Spain. One of my first students was Joaquin. His dream was to study in Austria. He made good progress in class but remained unsure of himself. That’s why, at some point, I advised him to take a three-week language immersion trip to Austria. Those three weeks changed everything. The language suddenly became part of his everyday life. With every conversation, his confidence grew. Months passed. One day, he got in touch again: He had a great job in Austria, spoke German very well, and was simply happy.
From that moment on, we knew what we wanted to do.
Our History
From Málaga to Berlin
2003 · Málaga, Spain
Magdalena & Ralf founded DEUTSCH.PRO in Málaga. What began as private lessons grew into a large, popular language school of their own and later expanded into a consulting service for German courses in Germany and Austria.
2003–2012 · Growth
The network expands. We establish partnerships with certified language schools in Germany and Austria – each one personally visited and inspected.
2012 · Berlin
Move to Berlin. The main office is established in the German capital – right in the heart of the action, closer to our partners and customers.
Today
Over 15,000 participants from more than 60 countries. 14 certified partner schools. And still the same passion as in Málaga in 2003.

We don’t sell courses. We support people.
What still inspires us after more than 20 years? That moment when someone comes back and we realize: Something has happened. Not just with the language. With the person.
The shy student who suddenly starts asking questions. The student who leaves feeling unsure and returns with confidence. The mother who writes to us that her child is speaking German on their own for the first time. That’s exactly why we do this.
