The programme rotates weekly and is adjusted according to the group, weather, and availability. All 5 activities per week are fully supervised and included – admission fees and transportation included. All organised activities are fully supervised.
Learning German in Berlin also means exploring the capital together outside of class.

German in Everyday Life – Living with a Host Family in Berlin
Living with a host family complements the German course by providing authentic everyday experiences. At breakfast and dinner, as well as during the family’s daily routine, students can practise their German outside the classroom and get to know Berlin from a personal perspective.
All host families are carefully selected by us and visited regularly. They live in Berlin and have experience hosting international teenagers.

Questions Parents Ask Us
What is the difference between 20 and 24 lessons per week?
Particularly for short stays of 2–3 weeks, many families opt for the intensive course with 24 lessons per week. The four additional lessons take place from Monday to Thursday from 12:00 to 12:45. These are followed by the lunch break and the regular leisure programme.
What language level does my child need?
Courses run from A1 to C1. Complete beginners start on the fixed date of July 4, 2027. Before the course begins, your child takes a free online placement test, so they join the group that’s the right fit for them.
What support is there outside of class?
Your child stays with a carefully selected, regularly visited host family in Berlin. All afternoon activities (1:30–5:00 PM) are professionally supervised. A 24/7 emergency contact is always available — for both parents and child.
How far is the host family from the school?
Most host families are 20–55 minutes from the school by public transport. A local travel pass is included in the course fee.
What about meals?
The host family provides full board. Breakfast and dinner are taken at the host family’s home. From Monday to Friday, your child will receive a packed lunch for school; on Saturday, a packed lunch for the day out. On Sundays, all meals are taken at the host family’s home.

How does my child get to Berlin?
You will receive the host family’s address around 10 days before the course starts, so that you can plan your child’s journey in good time. Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is easily accessible. We can organise a transfer service on request.
What if we need to cancel?
Our cancellation policy is fair and transparent.
Cancellations made up to four weeks before the course starts incur a fee of €50.
