Not your average language camp – a place to experience life by the lake

The Blossin Youth Education Centre sits right on the shores of Lake Wolzig — 597 hectares of water surrounded by forest and nature, just 40 minutes from Berlin. Up to 80 teenagers from over 50 countries spend their summer here. German is the only shared language, which means learning happens naturally.

Private Marina & Water Sports Centre

Sailing boats, canoes, kayaks, SUP boards, windsurfers — all on site. Excellent wind conditions make Lake Wolzig one of the best sailing spots in Brandenburg.

Modern On-Site Accommodation

Your child stays in a modern building right on the campus — comfortable shared rooms with private bathroom and shower. The 10 classrooms are on the ground floor of the same building. Less time walking, more time on the lake.

Berlin Always Within Reach – 2 Excursions Per Week

Nature during the week, world-class city at the weekend. Every week includes one full-day and one half-day trip to Berlin — entrance fees and transport included.

Good to know:

Since many activities take place on and around the water, your child should feel comfortable in and around water. No prior experience is needed — but a basic level of water confidence is a requirement for participation.

Frequently Asked Questions – Berlin Blossin

What parents ask us

How is the round-the-clock care organised?

The camp offers 24-hour supervision by experienced educational staff. All activities on land and in the water are supervised by professionals. There is always an emergency contact number for parents.

Does my child need to be a good swimmer?

Your child doesn’t need to be a swimming expert, but they should feel comfortable in the water and not be afraid of it. As many activities take place right by and on Lake Wolzig, a basic familiarity with the water is a prerequisite for taking part.

Safety comes first. Children who have never sailed or kayaked before can learn how to do so here.

What level of language proficiency does my child need?

Courses range from A1 to B2-C1 and are also suitable for complete beginners with no prior knowledge. Before the course begins, there is a free placement test – your child will be placed in the appropriate group.

What are the accommodation options like?

Your child will stay in a modern building right on the campus grounds, in cosy 2- or 3-bed rooms with en-suite bathrooms and showers. The classrooms are located on the ground floor of the same building. Short distances mean more time for the lake and activities.

What are the meal arrangements?

Full board – breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. The canteen offers a choice of several main courses every day, a salad bar and fresh fruit. Please state any allergies or special dietary requirements when booking.

How does my child get to Blossin?

Blossin is located approximately 40 km south-east of Berlin – about 40 minutes by train or bus. The local travel card is included in the camp price.

The nearest airport is Berlin Brandenburg (BER). On request, we can organise a transfer service directly from the airport to Blossin (€90, one way, 08:00–22:00). Outside these times, the cost is €140. A surcharge of €50 applies for unaccompanied minors (UM).

Is insurance included?

Yes – health, luggage and third-party liability insurance are included in the camp price.

What happens if we have to cancel?

Our cancellation policy is fair and transparent.

If you cancel more than 2 weeks before arrival, a processing fee of €200 will apply – the remaining amount will be refunded. If you cancel less than 2 weeks before arrival, further charges will apply – the exact terms and conditions are set out in our Terms and Conditions, and we will be happy to explain them to you personally before you book.

Is there a sibling discount?

Yes – if you’re registering several siblings at the same time, please ask about our sibling discount when you make your enquiry.
