Summer courses in Vienna
Our German courses in Vienna are the perfect option for all young people who want to spend their summer vacations with peers from all over the world and learn German intensively in the center of Vienna.
You will learn German in the heart of Vienna, one of the most beautiful and livable cities in the world.
The sights of Vienna will inspire you and you will be able to use your German skills immediately.
You can practice your German around the clock and have fun with your new friends who come from all over the world.
Language school in Vienna
The course is tailored for students between 16 and 19 years old who like to spend time in Vienna with their classmates.
Classes will be held in our building, which is located right next to our language school for adults in Vienna. With a large park and many sports facilities, it is well equipped to host a youth course for a summer.
On your first day (Monday) you will be picked up at 08:00 in the morning in front of the accommodation by one of our teachers. All course participants will go to school together. After that your course will start.
Registration and the short oral exam will take place on the day of your arrival. Classes are held in small groups of 8 to a maximum of 15 students from Monday to Friday. You will do exercises on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening comprehension in systematically structured lessons.
Our teachers speak German as their native language and have a teacher training and previous experience working with young people. They are highly qualified and regularly attend training courses held at our school.
German courses for young people in Vienna
There will be 20 or 30 lessons of 45 minutes per week. The maximum number of students per course is 15.
The children start in five different levels: Beginner (A0 / A1), Basic (A2), Intermediate (B1), Advanced (B2 / C1). Placement is done on the first day.
Classes are held in small groups from Monday to Friday. You will practice grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening comprehension in systematically structured lessons.
The focus is on language you need in real life and in situations outside of school, with communicative language games and group and partner work.
Free time and excursions
In the afternoons and evenings, after class, we offer a varied leisure and sports program. Cultural and recreational activities on 4 days of the week are included in the course price.
Optional Program
a) Culture Special: If you are interested in culture, this is for you: Weekly excursions to museums, palaces or visits to the opera. Guided tours, a supervisor and entrance fee included.
b) Excursions: Participants who would like to see more of Austria can sign up for excursions, e.g. to Salzburg, to the Wachau/Donau valley, to the Hinterbrühl lake grotto or to Kreuzstein Castle.
c) Concert or Musical: We are happy to organize a trip to a concert or a musical in one of Vienna’s famous theaters for you.

- Thursday: Vienna by night
- Friday: Welcome party and waltz course
- Saturday: Departure or excursion to Wachau or Graz (optional)

Accommodation and Arrival

Students are accommodated in double rooms with half board in a dormitory designed to welcome a young international group.
The dormitory is located close to the city center. The school can be reached within 25 minutes by public transport.
The double rooms have their own shower and toilet. There is also a refrigerator in each room. Half board is included in the price, breakfast and dinner are available in the in-house cafeteria. There is also a communal kitchen on each floor – please bring your own dishes!
All students are treated as young adults. You decide for yourself how long you want to go out in the evening.
If you book your arrival by plane or train, your arrival point will be Vienna. Participants can be picked up from the airports and train stations on Sundays between 12:00 and 20:00.
