Salzburg is located in the heart of Europe and is easily reachable by all means of transport. The city offers a diversity which can be compared to a very few other cities in the world. The city is known around the world as a centre of art and culture and has much more to offer than just the summer and Easter festival, Whitsun concerts, theatre productions, and museum exhibitions. Whether you love arts, music, delicious food, or parties, or if you are just looking for some rest and relaxation, you will simply love Salzburg, the city of variety. You can stroll leisurely through the narrow streets and alleys of this baroque city. Countless stores invite you to do some shopping. And from the terraces of the world-famous coffee-houses you can enjoy the view of beautiful architecture in the historical city centre with a delicious piece of cake.
The lessons were fun and very relevant for the needs of day to day life. In fact I enjoyed it so much that after the initial 4 week course I booked a further two week course. I am now able to speak a fairly good German and can handle a conversation. My advice to anyone deciding to come to Salzburg is to be prepared to stay longer than what is originally planned, since you won’t want to leave.

Accommodation and Arrival

Arrival: Sunday before the course starts
Departure: Saturday after the end of the course

Host families:
You live together with your host family in their home. Host families can be childless couples, parents with schoolchildren, or older people whose grown-up children have already left home. As a guest in a family our students have the best chances to practise the German language in their free time. To guarantee this, there are never two persons of the same mother tongue in the same family (unless expressly requested by partners/friends).

Youth hostels and guest-houses offer a cost-effective and sociable gathering of the young and the young at heart. The houses normally have a recreation room with TV, dining rooms, and sometimes the possibility to use a kitchen as well as various sport and leisure facilities. They are easily reachable by public transportation.
