The German Course – How it works
Course 16 takes place Monday through Thursday; Courses 18 and 20 take place Monday through Friday. Most courses are held two to three times a week in the morning (9:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.) and twice in the afternoon (1:30 p.m.–4:45 p.m.). The exact times may change from month to month.

💡 Long-term course – the most effective method
If you want to complete an entire level, it’s best to plan for 8 weeks. Many participants stay for 8–16 weeks and complete one or two levels—intensively, all at once, fully immersed in the language and the city. But even a shorter stay of one or two weeks is worthwhile: as a refresher, an introduction, or a language immersion experience.
The beer mugs clink briefly as everyone clinks glasses, and amid all the laughter, you suddenly hear almost nothing but German at the table.

What Participants ask us
When can I start?
In Munich, there are fixed start dates for all course levels from A1 to C1—you don’t have to wait for a beginner course to start. You can find the current dates in our price list or upon request. If you have prior knowledge, you can also join a course any Monday.
What is the difference between Course 16, Course 18, and Course 20?
Course 16 takes place Monday through Thursday and consists of 16 teaching units per week in group classes—this is our standard course.
Courses 18 and 20 expand on Course 16 with optional additional modules on Friday mornings (9:30–11:00 a.m. and/or 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.)—ideal for anyone who wants to study more intensively or needs a visa. The modules include grammar training, conversation, phonetics & pronunciation, writing practice, cultural studies—and even a Bavarian dialect course. Course 18 = 2 additional modules, Course 20 = 4 additional modules per week.
How long does a level last?
What exams can I take in Munich?
The school is an official testing center for telc (B1, B2, C1 University) and TestDaF. Targeted preparation courses for all exams are available for registration.
What accommodation options are available?
Two options: single room, no meals, and single room with breakfast or half-board. Check-in is on Sunday, and check-out is on Saturday morning.
Are there any recreational activities?
Yes—three times a week in the summer (July/August), and once a week the rest of the year. The program is varied: day trips to Lake Chiemsee, Salzburg, or Dachau; castle tours; city tours; theater; movies; beer gardens; exhibitions; and sports. Munich and its surrounding area offer more than enough to do.
What happens if I have to cancel?
Our cancellation policy is fair and transparent.
A deposit of 200 € is due upon registration (for visa applications: 200 € per month of registration).
Cancellation up to 6 weeks before the course begins: 50 € processing fee – the remainder will be refunded.
For cancellations made less than 4 weeks in advance, our general terms and conditions apply. If a replacement participant is found, no cancellation fees will be charged.
