Why Freiburg?
Freiburg in Breisgau, one of the most popular cities in Germany, is situated in the South-West of the country and has a Mediterranean climate with a lot of sunshine. Furthermore, the 25,000 students of the univesity town contribute to an easy-going, open-minded, and international flair.
France and Elsaß with the Vogesen are not far away towards the West. Towards the South it takes about half an hour to get to Basel in Switzerland. This location in the border triangle contributes a lot to the special charm of the city.
The surroundings of Freiburg are picturesque landscapes of vines, fruit trees, and the mountains of the Black Forest. This is why it is also called the Tuscany of Germany.

The classes are very good, I made many friends and I saw and did very interesting things, things that I didn’t do at home.
There are many activities and exciting things to do which allowed me to speak a lot and practise my speaking in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
I really like the school, the teachers and this familial atmosphere which prevails there.
My stay in Freiburg not only improved my langauge skills, but also prompted me to take a sabbatical year following my studies and to travel abroad to work and learn languages.

The language school in Freiburg is located right in the heart of Freiburg. There are cafes, pubs, restaurants and small snack bars all around.

The German courses in Freiburg are communicative and interactive. The courses help you to become proficient in the German language in the shortest possible time and to improve your oral and written German.

Accommodation and Arrival

- Host family:
You will stay in an apartment or in a house with a garden with a family, a couple or a person living alone. The guest rooms can be booked with breakfast or half board. Bed linen and towels are provided. The distance to the language school is 15 to 45 minutes by public transport.
- Shared apartments:
In a shared apartment you will have your own furnished room. You share the kitchen, bathroom and toilet with the other flatmates and prepare your own meals.
How to get there: Basel/Mulhouse airport (BSL, MLH, EAP) + shuttle bus to Freiburg or Frankfurt am Main airport + train.
