Zwinger, Semperoper and the Frauenkirche, these three tourist magnets stand for the city.
Dresden is constantly on the move. A walk through the historic center will take you back in time. If you want to get an accurate picture of the city, then walk through Elbflorenz. Here you will find museums and theaters, time to stroll and shop and with a typical meal and a refreshing drink you can end the day.
Dresden is the past and the future in equal measure.

Language school in Dresden
The language school in Dresden was founded in 1998. The school is characterized by personal and friendly atmosphere. Individual needs and interests of each student are important to us.
The school has
- 6 bright and generously equipped classrooms,
- a library with a computer room (DSL/WLAN),
- a small cafeteria.
Right next to the language school is the Alaunpark, the green oasis of the trendy district “Neustadt” with its numerous pubs, cafes, cinemas, theaters, galleries and many interesting people. We are easily accessible by public transport at all times.
The language school in Dresden is a recognized examination center for the telc examinations (The European Language Certificates).
German courses in Dresden
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, you will improve your German every day!
- Intensive courses with 25 lessons per week
- Monday – Friday, 09:30 – 14:00 hrs
- Small, international groups with max. 15 participants

- Summer courses with 25 or 30 lessons per week
- telc exams (B1, B2, C1, C1 university) and TestDaF possible
Free time and excursions
All courses include two activities (in summer up to five) per week and every second Saturday an excursion to places of interest in the surrounding area.
Example week in summer:
- Monday: Walk through the Neustadt district of Dresden starting at 2:30 p.m.
- Tuesday: Hike Proschhübel & Trümmerberg starting at 16:00
- Wednesday: Football in the Alaunpark from 16:00 hrs
- Thursday: Stammtisch (regulars’ table) from 20:00 hrs
- Friday: Bike tour Pillnitz, Pirna & Elbe bike path
- Saturday: Departure or full day trip to Berlin or Leipzig
Accommodation and Arrival
Arrival: Sunday afternoon
Departure: Saturday morning
- Host Family:
Enjoy typical German hospitality in one of our selected host families. You will be well taken care of and will have the greatest possible language practice. You will have a single room with breakfast and half board on request. WIFI included. Bookable from the age of 16.
- Student shared apartments (WG):
The accommodation in a shared flat is very popular, because you can experience the life and culture of German students directly. You live in a single room, but share kitchen and bathroom with two or three, usually German, students – optionally male or female only – usually in close proximity to the school. WIFI included. Only bookable from the age of 18.
- School residence:
Right by the school. You will have a single room with private bathroom. Bathroom and kitchen are shared with other flatmates. The common areas are cleaned once a week by the school. WIFI included. Bookable from the age of 16.
You will receive the accommodation address with the exact arrival description about 10 days before arrival.
Arrival: There is an international airport in Dresden (DRS). Otherwise to Berlin (BER) and then continue by train.
