💡 Long-term course – the most effective method
Most of our participants in Berlin stay for 7–14 weeks—that is, one to two full levels. This is the most effective and sustainable way to learn German: intensively, all at once, immersed in the language and the city. Starting at 5 weeks, the weekly price automatically decreases—the longer you stay, the cheaper it gets.
Learning German in Berlin means using the language every day in everyday life. That way, you’ll gain confidence in speaking more quickly.

What students ask us
When can I start?
There are set start dates for all course levels—you can find the dates for A1 in our price list; dates for all other levels are available upon request. If you have prior knowledge, you can also join a class any Monday.
What is the difference between 20 and 30 UE per week?
Course 20 (9:00 a.m.–12:15 p.m.) focuses on theoretical language skills—grammar, reading, listening, speaking, and writing. Course 30 (9:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) combines this with a practice-oriented afternoon course—theory in the morning, application in the afternoon. If you want to make rapid and lasting progress, Course 30 is the best choice for you.
How long does a level last?
Each level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1) lasts 7 weeks—except for B1, which includes an additional 3-week bridge course and therefore takes 10 weeks. Those who progress from A1 to C1 will need a total of 38 weeks. Most participants plan 7–14 weeks for one or two levels.
Do you help with housing?
Yes—we offer three types of accommodations: School Campus (in the school building), School Hostel (about 10 minutes from the school), and host families. You can find all prices and details in our price list. We’d also be happy to advise you directly.
Will I receive an official certificate?
At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion stating your level and the duration of the course. For official certificates (telc, TestDaF), the school offers its own exam dates—feel free to ask about them when you submit your inquiry.
What happens if I have to cancel?
Our cancellation policy is fair and transparent.
If you cancel more than 4 weeks before arrival, a €200 processing fee will apply—the remaining amount will be refunded. If you cancel less than 4 weeks before arrival, additional fees apply—we’ll be happy to explain them to you personally before you book.
