Summer Camp in Munich Josefstal

The summer camp in Munich Josefstal is aimed at children aged 7 to 14 who want to learn or improve their German in a beautiful Bavarian village at the foot of the Alps and spend wonderful vacations with children from all over the world.

You will learn German in a beautiful and quiet Bavarian village, just a few minutes walk from the famous Schliersee.

You will meet many children from all over the world and you will be able to use your new knowledge immediately. Every week we have up to 70 students learning German. 

Every day there are two free time activities and on Saturday a full day excursion to Munich. You will have a wonderful summer vacation in Josefstal!

Language Camp in Munich Josefstal

The camp is located about 5 km from Schliersee and 40 km south of Munich in Josefstal, a typical Bavarian village in the Alps. Many German children also spend their vacations here.

In the summer camp you even live together with them and they take part in all the leisure activities in the afternoon.

Josefstal has a capacity of 70 places. 

In the three-story school building there are 8 classrooms, 30 rooms, a garden, a campfire site, a barbecue area, a volleyball court, table tennis, a pool table and a TV room.

The summer camp in josefstal is located at an altitude of 800m, right on the mountain: the alpine scenery is fantastic, and every week we make at least 2 trips to Munich, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany.

German courses for children in Josefstal

There will be 20 lessons of 45 minutes each per week. The maximum number of students per course is 12.

The children start in three different levels: Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate. Placement is done on the first day.

The focus of the lessons is on conversation and interaction. The goal is to break down language blocks and enable spontaneous speaking.

Free time and excursions

The program includes two activities per day in international groups: sports, games and dance. There will also be one full-day and two half-day excursions each week to places in Bavaria (e.g. Munich, Schliersee, Neuschwanstein Castle, …).

Arrival by 5 p.m., orientation and placement test, welcome evening.

Monday – Friday:

  • Breakfast: 8:30 – 9:00
  • German course: 09:00 – 12:30
  • Lunch: 12:30 -13:30
  • Dinner: 18:00-19:00
  • Free time: 13:30 – 17:00 + evening activities

Recreational program:

  • Monday: badminton; evening: barbecue
  • Tuesday: handicrafts; evening: video night
  • Wednesday: half-day excursion, e.g. to Berchtesgaden; evening: campfire
  • Thursday: swimming; in the evening: game evening
  • Friday: volleyball; evening: disco
  • Saturday: Full-day excursion, e.g. to Munich
  • Sunday: departure or sports

Here we are in Josefstal enjoying a great summer in German! Children from many countries come to spend a few days learning German and sharing their cultures.
During the weekdays we go to German class and have activities in the evening, wether rain or shine! We visit Munich on weekends and we go there by train. Perfect Summer meeting new great friends.

Accommodation and Arrival

Arrival: Sunday
(best between 9:00 – 17:00)
Departure: Sundays
(between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.)

  • three or four bed rooms
  • bathroom / WC in the corridor

In each room 3-4 children are accommodated. Shower and WC are located in the corridor.

Students will receive full board in the campus restaurant.

Members of our staff live at the camp and are there for your child around the clock.

If you book your arrival by plane or train, your arrival point will be Munich. Participants can be picked up from airports and train stations on Sundays between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm.
