Our German courses in Höchst im Odenwald are the ideal option for all children between the ages of 7 and 14 who like to spend a lot of time with classmates and enjoy an extensive recreational and sports program.
You will live and learn German in a former, beautifully modernized monastery that now serves as a conference building.
You’ll make lots of friends with students from all over the world and speak German all day long, both in class and during recreational activities.

Language camp in Höchst im Odenwald
Höchst, a romantic town of 10,000 inhabitants, is located in the middle of the Odenwald, a low mountain range just outside Frankfurt on the Main River, and is surrounded by forests, half-timbered manor houses and medieval castles. Summer here is full of life as young people from over 60 nations come together to learn German and discover Germany with us!
Our grounds include not only classrooms and dormitories, but also a large auditorium, recreation rooms and a spacious park. There is space to play soccer, volleyball, basketball and table tennis, to have a barbecue or just to lie lazily in the sun…
German courses for children in Höchst i.O.
There will be 20 classes of 45 minutes each per week. The maximum number of participants per course is 12 students.
The children start in five different levels: Beginner (A0), Basic (A1-A2), Intermediate (B1), Advanced (B2) . Placement is done on the first day.
The focus of the classes is on conversation and interaction. The goal is to break down language blocks and enable spontaneous speaking.
Free time and excursions
The program includes two activities per day, as well as one full-day excursion and one half-day excursion per week to Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden or Heidelberg.

Monday – Friday:
- Breakfast: 08:00 – 08:45
- German course: 09:00 – 12:30
- Lunch: 12:45 – 13:15
- Dinner: 18:30 – 19:15
- Free time: 14:00 – 18:00 and 19:30 – 21:30
Leisure program:
- Monday: hike through Fairy Tale Gorge; evening: games;
- Tuesday: cross-country game; evening: workshops
- Wednesday: half-day excursion to Erbach; evening: time for friends
- Thursday: swimming pool; evening: theater / dance project for disco night
- Friday: Soapstone and wool balls workshop; ball games; evening: disco night
- Saturday: departure or excursion to Heidelberg, Frankfurt or Wiesbaden
- Sunday: visit to the Felsenmeer; evening: games
I enjoyed studying in Höchst because it was fun, interesting and exciting experience. Not only my German improved, but I met new friends, visited new places. The summer camp has a great location, great building, amazing teachers and the office staff is always there ready to help you. Accommodation and arrival

Double rooms are equipped with single beds. In shared rooms there are bunk beds.
Students will receive full meals in the campus restaurant. There are also snack and beverage vending machines in the lobby.
Members of our staff live at the camp and are available around the clock to care for your child.
If you book your arrival by plane or train, your arrival point is Frankfurt am Main. Participants can be picked up from the airports and train stations on Sundays between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm.
