Our German language school, founded in 1995, is situated in the centre of Bamberg, only 50m away from the pedestrian precinct where you will find a lot of shops and cafés.

Our language school is a renowned language institute for adults, which guarantees close contact with the German language in an open and friendly atmosphere.

The once imperial city of Bamberg is located in northern Bavaria and is considered one of the most romantic of German cities. Because of its complex history and the influence by university and the church on the cultural life of Bamberg it offers a great diversity.

On the one hand you can choose between 13 museums, 10 galleries and 8 theatres and it is the home of the world-renowned classical orchestra, the Bamberger Simphoniker.

On the other hand, there are street festivals, bars and clubs for people who enjoy going out at night.

Those who wish to be active and play sports will also feel at home in Bamberg: volleyball, badminton, rowing, tennis, cycling, golf, hiking, roller blading at the canal to name but a few popular activities.

In 1993 Bamberg was awarded "World Heritage" status by UNESCO.The town was scarcely damaged during WWII and still retains many splendid mediaeval architectural features and over 3000 historical buildings.

We want your stay with our german language school and in Bamberg to be a great experience and a learning success. As part of this, we offer leisure time activities at least 3 times per week.

Part of this are walks through the town, during which you learn interesting aspects about the citys 1000-year-history. After the walks, we often visit one of Bambergs 9 private breweries in order to try the beer specialities of our region, e.g. Rauchbier ("smoked beer").

In summer on Wednesdays we play volleyball, football, badminton or Frisbee. And what else is there? Other possibilities include golf, tennis, gym visits, squash, canoeing, paragliding, cycling, hiking, aerobics, jazz dance and many more...

Weekend excursions
We organize group trips, like for example to Berlin, Würzburg, Munich, Weimar or Regensburg - Walhalla – Weltenburg.

Afternoon activities
May include visits to nearby cities of: Nürnberg, Coburg, Bayreuth or, as depicted on the left, a wine feast in Zeil am Main.

An important aspect for the duration of your course is your selecting an accommodation which is right for you, since we want you to feel completely at ease.

Sharing with Germans of your age group
You will have a single room in a private apartment and will be living together with one or two Germans. We will make sure that your age matches those of your flat mates.

Living with a family:
You will have a single room in a family.
This accommodation is booked with breakfast or half-board.

Self-contained apartment / holiday apartment
You will live on your own in a completely furnished and equipped apartment with kitchen, bathroom, TV and telephone, so you will also be able to connect to the Internet (also with DSL conection).

Centrally located guest houses and hotels
If you prefer staying in a hotel or pension, please let us know and we will find something appropriate.
